This was a really great experience. Now, I’ve always watched the UAAP basketball games (including non-Ateneo-La Salle, that makes me a loyal fan) but usually I sit in Upper A or Upper B. This time though Jason told us that we could use our press passes in the Arena so we did and they let us in. Actually, their exact words were “Basta may ID (aka press pass) papasukin niyo.” So okay, cease the opportunity.
There were so many GUIDON photographers there! It was so much fun, I think everyone had a good time. Plus the photographers got to use their skills and practice in an actual, live, and exciting game so good for them. Raymond always says that sustainability is important so when Jason leaves, at least the rest of his staffers still know how to do things. Haha.
Anyway, I was really awestruck–I could hear Norman Black, I could hear the players talking. Okay, so Raymond got mad at us but that was fine. We won’t do it again but the experience was a blast.
Some notes though: Since we sat on the floor, my butt started to hurt just as the second quarter began.
This were the ones I took with my crappy 2.0 megapixel camera. I’ll steal some of the photogs’s pictures once they upload them heehee (if they upload them).
The trouble was worth it.
But condolences to Mr. Agapito Braganza, father of UP player Arvie Braganza. He suffered a heart attack this morning at around 2 – 3 PM. He fainted during the game causing it to stop for a few moments. I really did think he was going to be okay since he stood up. Condolences to him.
